Answer: a. The Pb and its compounds are absorbed by:
    1. Respiratory tract (inhalation) is the most important in the workplace. The risk to health from the Pb in air is related to particle size.
    2. Digestive tract (ingestion): in the work environment in this way lead enters from eating contaminated food.
    3. Skin contact: it is important only in the case of organic compounds of lead such as lead tetraethyl and lead tetramethyl, used as anti-knock additives in fuels.
