Toxicological trivia from November 19, 2009: Among the first aid at the scene of an injury event by stingray, the first step is to irrigate the wound immediately  with clean cold water (from a tap if available) because:
a) Removes a large quantity of poison;
b) The cold water produces vasoconstriction and prevents the absorption of larger amounts of poison;
c) Both previous assertions are correct.
