Toxicological Trivia from November 11, 2009: The use of Payco’s tea is very common in Argentina. In our electronic register of plants, it is listed as Payco – Paice – pazote; anserine vermifuge – goosefoot – Tea of Mexico, the Jesuits and of Spain – Zamanfou – Corn ant. (Chenopodium ambrosoides). Infusions and decoctions can cause:
a) Hemorrhagic gastroenteritis with possible multiple holes and invaginations;
b) Constipation;
c) None of the previous assertions are correct.
