Toxicological trivia from July 16, 2014: The fruit of the pomegranate, Punica granatum, is a globular berry with a leathery rind, the interior is divided into various lobes containing numerous seeds coated with a cover, red and juicy pulp.  The edible fruit is a berry and is between a lemon and a grapefruit in size, 5–12 cm in diameter with a rounded shape and thick reddish skin.The number of seeds in a pomegranate can vary from 200 to about 1400 seeds.What part is called sarcotesta?a) The lobes of Pomegranate; b) The seeds; c) The seed coat, red and juicy pulp.
