Toxicological Trivia from January 13, 2010: In the extensive livestock farming, where animals graze and have a great variety of plants, including some toxic species. Among them are those of the genus Ipomoea, including 450 to 500 species. Seven of them are in our country, Argentina. The existing variety in Corrientes Province and the northeastern region of Argentina, present in flood-prone places like swamps, wet and streams, is Ipomoea fistulosa, commonly called:
a) Aguapié;
b) Mandiyurá;
c) Both previous assertions are correct.
