Se describe en este artículo, las consideraciones generales del funcionamiento de un Laboratorio Forense de Baja Complejidad, para quienes no se desempeñan en esa área de la Toxicología, y que puedan entender la problemática, y saber cuáles son las limitaciones de los potenciales análisis a realizar por un laboratorio de esas características. Muchas veces resolviendo un análisis a través del hallazgo de sustancias que con un temprano accionar puede salvar la vida de una persona, y en otros casos esclarecer el motivo de una muerte sospechosa.Se mencionan algunos tipos de análisis que pueden ser llevados a cabo, señalándola importancia de la formación de recursos humanos que luego podrán migrar hacia otras áreas de la Toxicología, contando quizás con mayores recursos materiales y de estudio, donde podrán tener mejores oportunidades en el análisis e interpretación de los resultados obtenidos por su previa formación en los Laboratorios Forenses de Baja Complejidad.

Toxicological analytical procedures for forensic low complexity laboratoriesThis article describes the general considerations of the functioning of a Low Complexity Forensic Laboratory, for those who do not work in this area of Toxicology, and who can understand the problem, and know what are the limitations of the potential analyzes to be performed for a laboratory of those characteristics. Many times solving an analysis through the discovery of substances that with an early action can save the life of a person, and in other cases clarify the reason for a suspicious death.Some types of analysis that can be carried out are mentioned, pointing out the importance of the formation of human resources that will later be able to migrate to other areas of Toxicology, counting perhaps with greater material and study resources, where they will be able to have better opportunities in the analysis and interpretation of the results obtained by their previous training in the Low Complexity Forensic Laboratories.
