Trivia # 279: Grasshopper nymph

Toxicological Trivia from April 01, 2015: In our previous trivia (278) we talk about the grasshoppers. They reproduce sexually, burying their eggs in the first centimeters of soil. The juvenile stages (nymphs) are called midges (N1, N2 and N3) and hoppers (N4 and N5). The last 2 stages (jumpy and adult) are dangerous because they increase  notoriously vegetable consumption levels. In trivia # 277 we remember that the most important natural enemies of grasshoppers is the "eaglet lobster" and the risk that ran this species by the use of monocrotophos. The nymph picture features is:a) Zoniopoda tarsata;b) Chromacris speciosa;c) Tropidacris collaris.
