Toxicological trivia from November 20, 2013: Some time ago we received a question about bitter curcubita (Read it in Spanish). The explanation of this flavor is due to the presence of curcubitacinas. Concerning curcubitacins it can say:a) Only found in some curcubita;b) Can be found in other cucurbits, such as cucumbers;c) The only problem is the bitter taste, because they lack toxicity.
