Brazilian scientists have discovered a new species of snake that is a foot long, non-venomous, and pretty as all get out. The snake, named Atractus spinalis and of the family Dipsadidae, is brownish and reddish-burnt orange in coloration with a yellowish belly.According to Spanish news reports, the snake was found and identified by scientists from federal universities of Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo. Scientists with the Brazilian National Center for Research and Conservation of Reptiles and Amphibians also contributed in identifying the reptile.Read in the Spanish site
