Botanicals added to EFSA Data Warehouse. efsa.europa.eu. July 05, 2016.EFSA has taken the first step in releasing a web-based version of its Compendium on Botanicals. The searchable database, which is still under development, will be expanded to include non-European botanical species. The complete version of the Compendium will be released early 2017.

• Compendium of Botanicals

The Compendium is a database of botanicals that are reported to contain naturally-occurring substances of possible concern for human health when present in food. It is intended to help with the safety assessment of botanicals and botanical preparations that may be used in food, including supplements, by facilitating hazard identification.
